- What are disinfection services and when does a facility need them?
- Disinfection services are targeted treatment of high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, shared desks, and restroom fixtures with EPA-registered disinfectants. Facilities add them when shared spaces see heavy use or when their own protocols call for a documented disinfection step. The surfaces, products, and frequency are written into the service specification for your facility.
- Is disinfection a stand-alone service?
- Disinfection runs within an ongoing service program rather than as a one-off visit. It is added to a day porter or recurring janitorial program after scope, safe access, staffing, and scheduling are confirmed. The crew already working in your facility performs the treatment, and the dedicated site supervisor records it in the same digital inspection logs used for routine cleaning.
- What products do you use for disinfection?
- We use EPA-registered disinfectants selected for the surfaces your facility approves and applied according to label directions, including the contact time the label specifies. Product lists with EPA registration numbers and Safety Data Sheets are available on request, so your safety or facilities lead can review what is used before it goes on a surface.
- How is disinfection work documented?
- Documentation is provided when included in the agreed service plan. It can record which surfaces were treated, which product was used, and when, entered in the digital inspection log by the dedicated site supervisor. Completion-report delivery is defined during contracting, so you know before service starts what record you will have and how often it arrives.
